Benedict Bösel

It all started with him. In 2016, he came to Madlitz – with a vision and many plans. A lot has happened since then. Today he stands on stages, in the field and in front of the camera and talks about his great passion: agriculture.

The man with the floor

When Benedikt enters the stage, sometimes earth flies through the area. Benedikt is an agricultural economist, founder and managing director of Gut&Bösel and a career changer in agriculture.

Working on the land and with the land is more than just a job for him, it is his calling. At conferences, workshops or in interviews, he speaks passionately about what he believes in, what he burns for and works tirelessly for every day: The paradigm shift in agriculture, this underestimated and underappreciated industry, his everyday life, his team. Because he sees land use as a huge opportunity and the lever to solve many of the most pressing problems of our time.

Benedict on stage

  • In his lectures, Benedikt inspires audiences from (agricultural) business, politics, research and society to understand and support the power and possibilities of agriculture and soil.
  • “Beyond Farming – Building Resilient (Eco-)Systems” – Benedikt’s keynote is about multifunctionality, tradition, technology and biodiversity services and why young people are needed on the land instead of robots
  • From investment banker to farmer in East Brandenburg: Benedikt’s story is not a typical one, one that he himself could not have imagined ten years ago. It is about family, failures, soil, cows and a lot of hope
